Arterian Named 2015 US SMB Champions Club West Area Cloud Partner of the Year
Arterian, a Seattle based Managed Service Provider (MSP), today announced it has been named West Area Cloud Partner of the Year by Microsoft’s US Small and Mid-sized Business (SMB) Champions Club.
The award recognizes the US SMB Champions Club partner who has demonstrated a commitment to Microsoft SMB Cloud business (Office 365, Intune, Azure and CRMOL) through consistent marketing of cloud services resulting in SMB customer adoptions of the Cloud solution set in West Area. Members of the US SMB Champions Club have shown dedication to arming the small business community with the right technology and services they need to be successful.
Arterian is celebrating its 20th Anniversary, and it owes much of its longevity to an incredible relationship with Microsoft. Since its early years, Arterian (rebranded from JWCS in 2011) has driven Microsoft solutions into its SMB client base. When given the choice to drive either a competitive product (VMWare, Google, Oracle, etc.) Arterian has consistently chosen the Microsoft solution for its superior quality, eye towards client needs, and ability to work with the partner channel.
Several years ago nearly every Arterian client had an on-premises Exchange Server. When the writing was on the wall regarding cloud based mail solutions, Arterian chose to dip their toes in BPOS and work with Microsoft to help provide feedback from their SMB clients on the product to improve what would eventually become Office 365. Arterian also chose to hold on other options until the Office 365 product was launched, and now has 95% of their client base on the Office 365 solution, with the other 5% pending migrations. This has resulted in an increase Office 365 seats of 150%. As Arterian implemented Office 365 over the years, they’ve expanded the solution, implementing Lync (Skype for Business), migrating file shares to SharePoint, and shifting licensing models to Office 365. Arterian trains and supports their clients by engaging in Microsoft Experience Workshops, and promoting not only Exchange Online, but the entire Office 365 suite. Arterian has also begun to work with CRM Online, Power BI, and Delve to truly drive value into our SMB client’s Microsoft hosted solutions.
Much like the SaaS offering, Arterian chose to wait for the Azure platform to mature instead of selecting another vendor for IaaS and PaaS. Arterian migrated it’s infrastructure to Azure in 2014, and is hosting client infrastructures; either fully cloud based or in a hybrid environment, on the Azure platform. Arterian has plans to increase cloud PaaS revenues exponentially in 2015.
Arterian leadership has stayed incredibly involved with Microsoft, providing feedback from both a Partner and SMB Client perspective. Arterian’s CEO, Jamison West, sits on a Worldwide Partner Advisory Council, and has been on several SMB Advisory Boards as well. He has also provided constructive feedback in other ways, most recently speaking at the Microsoft All Hands Operations meeting and representing the Microsoft SMB Partner at a Microsoft media day event. As a Charter Member of the Azure User Group we drive both technical and sales/marketing feedback to Microsoft from a partner and SMB perspective. Arterian along with winners in six other categories were recognized during the Microsoft SMB Champions Award Reception in Orlando, FL on July 13, 2015.
