23rd February 2014, (Ireland)
Deburgh Manor, a beautiful 17 bedroom palladian manor house, set in the County Kildare countryside in Ireland, is a perfect location for an unforgettable wedding experience. It is launching new Wedding travel packages.
The manor is a wedding venue that appeals to couples from around the world who want a destination wedding, in a formal but relaxed setting. Civil weddings can take place in the house and blessings in the gardens. Just 40 miles from Dublin, the manor, built in 1709, is set in lush green Irish countryside, next to the River Barrow. Guests arrive via a 1 kilometre tree lined private driveway, and the house is surrounded by well maintained gardens, perfect for drinks on the lawn and wedding photographs. Inside the décor is traditional, in keeping with the house’s style and heritage.
Deburgh Manor has 17 en-suite double rooms for guests, some are four poster beds, (single beds can be added to some rooms at no extra cost if required) and a dining room that can seat 65 guests or the drawing room and bar combined can seat over 110. A 60ft x 50ft marquee is available for larger weddings, with room for 200 seated for a wedding breakfast, or up to 250 if a buffet is preferred. A local wedding planner is available to co-ordinate and plan weddings for couples that do not live in the area. The house can be hired on a fully catered or self catering basis, or a mixture of both, for flexibility and to meet a range of budgets. Local musicians and a music DJ can be booked on request.
There is plenty of outdoor activities for guests to enjoy in the days leading up to or after the wedding day. From gentle walks and rowing on the river, to horse riding, golf and fishing. A night at a Dublin theatre show can be arranged, and also various day trips to places such as the Guinness brewery, the National Stud and Japanese Gardens, Kilkenny Castle and Waterford Crystal.
House guests can also enjoy time indoors. There is a games room with a full sized snooker table, a sauna and gym. Hair and beauty treatments, as well as an on site massage therapist are available on request. The house also has it’s own private cellar bar, where friends and family gather in the evenings.
Des Kennedy, owner of Deburgh Manor said, “We aim to make our guest’s weddings an unforgettable experience. The house is grand, but at the same time homely and we work with couples to ensure their wedding is just as they want it.”
