Survey Finds Print Still Important for Marketing

Research carried out by Leeds Printing Company shows there is still very much a demand and need for printed goods for business promotion.
A survey with small to medium sized businesses demonstrated that many value print medium as highly effective to promote events, products, people and the business itself. Printing ranked only behind Email Marketing and Social Media.
91% believed that printed business cards were the most effective way to promote an individual or a small business. 85% of people with business cards take them to all meetings and 76% carry business cards with them always.
In the entertainment and events sector, 95% of respondents were in favour of using flyers for promotional purposes. The uses included event advertising, money off vouchers, new product releases, new store openings and menus.
The vast majority of businesses (71%) still saw a need for printed brochures to complement their business. Most believed that allowing a prospect or client to takeaway a brochure contributed to brand awareness and increased sales. Uses of brochures include; business promotion, event guide, catalogue and product showcase.
