30th January 2014, (Vancouver, Canada)
Canadian based startup Procurify.com has been making waves since they secured a seed round investment from, Dallas Mavericks owner and Shark Tank star, Mark Cuban.
The Procurify team, which was originally just three founders in 2011, has grown to a team of 20. Procurify's cloud based procurement solution, which helps companies streamline their internal purchasing process, has enjoyed a wave of success since Mark Cuban's endorsement.
Procurify COO and co-founder, Kenneth Loi, had this to say about Mark Cuban's investment into the company. "Mark Cuban's investment and belief in the Procurify team has really opened a lot of opportunities to grow and expand our business. We're very thankful for the support we've received both from Mark Cuban and our early adopters and hope to show the world some of the innovative ideas we're developing."
Procurify has been experiencing rapid growth since Mr. Cuban's investment and the company now has users in every continent in the world, with the exception of Antarctica.
The idea for Procurify started as a school project in 2010. In 2011, the founders, CEO Aman Mann, CTO Eugene Dong, and COO Kenneth Loi decided to build Procurify together in a bedroom. The Procurify team grew to 5 people and they decided to send a cold email to Mark Cuban in October of 2012. After a few months the Procurify team was finally able to secure a deal with Mark Cuban and still have yet to meet their benefactor.
Procurify will continue to uphold its vision to deliver a simple, affordable and well designed business software. As a cloud based software, Procurify is able to provide their solution to users remotely and hopes to push for a paperless purchasing process. The company has made a commitment to promote environmentally friendly business practices and has joined the Canadian based sustainability initiative Climate Smart.
